Apna Ghar provides critical, comprehensive, culturally competent services, and conducts outreach and advocacy across communities to end gender violence. We aim to empower survivors, engage communities, and elevate gender and racial justice through an evidence-based model that factors in macro and micro level conditions that create the unique barriers faced by the communities we serve.

Our Service Model
Transcending Boundaries: Investigating Gender Violence among Immigrant Women
Together with the Center for Urban Research and Learning (CURL) at Loyola University, we developed a comprehensive, culturally competent model designed specifically for the population we serve that reflects a holistic understanding of the macro and micro-level barriers faced by immigrant survivors of gender violence.
